My Journey

My Journey has taken me from paper to canvas and back and forth and so on.I do love the altered books and just completed one round robin,”Through the Eyes of an artist”and am in 2 more “I dream in Color”and “Book of Dreams”. There are 2 smaller ones too,”Meditate and Create ” and a story book in which we each write a page and see how the story pans out. I am also in an Australian altered book swap with http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/australian_altered_arts/. Feel free to join us we are laid back group with Aussie and international members. • A page in the same  Round Robin

I find myself very drawn to these paper journals,as a lover of texture and layering I guess the love affair was a “given”. Here is one I did for the a circle journal  called I Dream in Color.This page is for Elena who chose white.I loved this scheme so much it was a joy to work in whites. ————————————————-

   This collage and the story that goes with it are so well-done. From the color palette to the composition to the treatment of the subject — excellent!

   This is a great piece of art. It has a simple beauty but it has so much complexity and layers. I imagine that the photo here just gives us a glimse of the true beauty and passion of this art.
